Learning How to Code by using Code.Org
So how does coding work? A simple answer is that writing code tells the computer what to do.
At East Rock we will be using the website, Code.org®, which is a non-profit dedicated to expanding access to computer science and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities. Their vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science, just like biology, chemistry or algebra. Code.org provides the leading curriculum for K-12 computer science in the largest school districts in the United States. It is has been used by 10 % of the students in the world. (Code.org)
